How to keep warm without electricity
- Propane heaters.
- Propane stove (cooks & heats)
- Stay in one room of the house. Roll towels & put under the door. Close off rest of the house. Live in the smallest area as possible.
- Storm window. Painter’s plastic & with duct tape put it up. It will stop the cold.
- Can use car batt in an emergency.
- Electric blanket & doesn’t take a lot of power.
- Burn candles to generate heat.
- Set up a tent inside with sleeping bags etc. Blanket over the tent.
- Thermal mass. Put rocks in the oven. The heat built up in the rocks & water drums will radiate off later.
- Hot water bottles in bed.
- To keep pipes from freezing keep the water moving dripping a little bit. Open up the cabinent doors and it’ll get warmer under the sink etc. to keep pipes from freezing.
- To save water line tub with plastic and put water in there.
- Solar generator with lithium batts. Portable power station. Portable solar panel.
- Extra extension cords—long ones.
- Power inverter.
- Fridges and freezers. Eat fridge foods first. Eat beans, rice & dry foods last.
- Work with your neighbors. Pool your resources together.
