HOW MUCH WATER IS NEEDED IN A SURVIVAL SITUATION?
I want to shed some light on the "1 gallon of water / person / day" is B.S. we all read about in prepping articles.
It won't be nearly enough to cover your needs, and here's 7 good reasons why:
You need more water to wash clothes...
You need more water when you get sick, or if you have to clean a bullet wound...
You need more water for hygiene...
You need more water for daily cooking...
You need more water to water your garden so your plants don't die...
You need more water for your pets and livestock...
And above all, you'll need MORE WATER TO DRINK. Because it's the only way to stay physically and mentally fit. You know very well the rule of threes, water is more important than food and shelter.
So you need a RENEWABLE source of water. A good way is to harvest rainwater but if there's a drought, you could wait weeks or even months before you see a few drops of rain again.
Besides, rainwater is illegal in some states and it might soon spread to the entire country, particularly in case of SHTF or state of emergency.
